Jarvis
Local-first assistant for macOS. Works without the cloud, calling out to a language model only for the hard parts.

About the project
Most assistants send everything to a server. Jarvis flips the default: habits, notes, activity history and the daily briefing all work fully locally. An external provider is only pulled in when actual language understanding is needed, and it is optional.
The project has two runnable surfaces: a native SwiftUI app for macOS and a locally hosted command centre. Both work on the same local data.
What appeals about local-first is the discipline it forces. Without a server every piece of state has to be consistent locally, and you find out very quickly which features genuinely need a model and which ones you can save yourself with a bit of thinking.
